For the fifth year, Harrah’s Philadelphia will ring in the New Year with its annual bash. Tickets include an open bar and plenty of entertainment, including rotating DJs and prizes. Attendees must be 21 and over. Festivities begin at 9 p.m.

The Count’s Countdown to New Year’s Celebration

Sesame Place once again rings in the New Year in family-friendly fashion with this fun countdown. A celebratory meal completes the event.

Countdown 2 Noon at the Please Touch Museum

For little ones who can’t quite make it to midnight but want to usher in a new year, the Please Touch Museum has the perfect solution: a countdown to noon. The museum will offer two different ball drops, at 12 p.m. and again at 1 p.m.

Fireworks on the Delaware River Waterfront

The ultimate way to celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of another is with a fireworks display. Philadelphia presents its annual fireworks show along the Delaware River Waterfront at 6 p.m. and again at midnight.

New Year’s Eve Countdown Party

Parx Casino’s celebration is all about partying and music. With live entertainment from The Exceptions & Goodman Fiske and DJ Eric Vanderslice, guests are sure to be rocking around the clock.

Making Time New Year’s Eve at Union Transfer

Philadelphia’s Union Transfer is embracing the future with its Making Time celebration, which will feature futuristic music. The five-hour event includes an open bar.

Skip the Times Square hassle and do something local at Kennett Square’s celebration, complete with a mushroom drop. As the clock strikes midnight, watch this festive fungi descend. Be sure to bring non-perishable goods for admission.

New Year’s Eve at Ardmore Music Hall

This year Ardmore Music Hall is hosting two events to ring in 2017. The first will be held at 10:30 a.m. and is a family-friendly affair. The New Year’s Eve (Day) Family Jam includes live music from Alex and the Kaleidoscope and a ball drop at noon. Adults can return at 9:30 p.m. for a Talking Heads tribute by Start Making Sense.

New Year’s Eve at Longwood Gardens

Dec. 31

Head to Longwood Gardens for a delightful addition to their annual Christmas display. Strolling musicians, a barbershop quartet and the historic organ are among the special musical celebrations on tap.

Valley Forge Casino Resort will host a bash to ring in 2017 in style. Tickets include an open bar, buffet and live music. Attendees must be 21 and over.

New Year’s Eve Community Celebration & Ball Drop

Everybody’s hometown, Media, will host a celebratory ball drop to mark another year. Beginning at 11 p.m., there will be live entertainment by Philly Gumbo and at midnight, attendees can watch the ball descend.

Sugar House Casino’s big bash includes an open bar and hors d’oeuvres, live music by Burnt Sienna Band, a champagne toast, and some festive accouterment. Plus, guests can get a prime view to the fireworks in Philadelphia. Attendees must be 21 or older.
