Simply Marvelous

After months of watching customers knock over clothing displays in her small boutique, Ruth Krass knew it was time to expand. Conveniently enough, she’s moved her Bedazzled Boutique just a few storefronts down from its original location at the Shoppes of Springton Point in Newtown Square.

The new 3,000-square-foot space has allowed Krass to build upon an impressive inventory that includes the designer lines Elizabeth & James, Theory, Adam and Nicole Miller, along with Alice + Olivia cocktail dresses, Badgley Mischka gowns and more. (Krass recently dressed a client for the Emmy Awards.) And for style-conscious prom-goers, Bedazzled is still the place to go.

Krass opened the boutique in 2006 with her husband, Victor. Their daughter, Sabrina, recently joined her parents in the business. “This truly is a family affair,” Krass says. “One of us is always here.”

Sabrina has been dubbed the “Jean Queen” for her ability to pick the perfect size, brand and style for her clients. Bedazzled stocks 18 designer labels—names like Current/Elliott, 1921, William Rast and Not Your Daughter’s Jeans. Alterations are free.

The boutique also has jewelry, Carlos Falchi and Botkier handbags, Pasotti umbrellas, and Love Notes scarves. “Since we opened the store three years ago, we’ve had a following,” says Krass. “Now many of our customers are friends.”
