Shipley Shops Preview Party 2011

Here's a sneak peek at the vendors, products and special events at this year's Shipley Shops in Bryn Mawr.

One of Tuyet Wong's jewelry pieces featured at Shipley Shops. See more photos below. (Photo by Tara Behan)On Oct. 19, I attended the Shipley School's Shipley Shops Preview Party, which kicked off a weekend-long shopping extravaganza. As expected, the event was phenomenal, and I ended up buying plenty of goodies for myself. Below are five of my favorite vendors.

The public is invited to shop Oct. 20-22. A special Family Fun Day is scheduled for Oct. 22, featuring PNC's Arts Alive Mobile and a meet-and-greet with two players from the Philadelphia Union. Plus, there’s no admission charge on Saturday.

Chances are still available to win a pair of 2011 Vespas, which I checked out and fell in love with. I certainly can imagine cruising down Lancaster Avenue on one! All proceeds from the event benefit the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr.

$10 adults; $5 seniors; free under age 18. Visit shipleyschool.org/shipleyshops or call (610) 525-4544.
