Unfolding May 30, 7–10 p.m., Opening Tap is the “it” event of Philly Beer Week, one kicked off by the ceremonial “first tap” courtesy of Mayor Michael Nutter. For 2014, the leading beer tasting has moved to the spacious landscape of the 23rd Street Armory (located at 22 S. 23rd St., Philadelphia), featuring 30+ breweries, each pouring several of their sought-after releases.
