The last time we saw Chabaa Thai was in the fall of 2014, but the Manayunk favorite is returning once more. Chef Moon Krapugthong has moved her well-regarded Thai BYOB from it’s old spot, now occupied by Maya.J, to the corner of Grape and Main streets where it will reopen on May 12.

Along with the restaurant, Binto Market & Cafe will open next door. The new café and market is a result of customer demand for quick, casual Asian from Chef Krapugthong. The cafe menu will include spring rolls, soups, noodles, rice, salads, curries and more. The cafe will have Internet and a kids’ play market area, to be run by Moon’s nine-year-old daughter.

In addition to prepared foods, Binto will stock the restaurant’s signature curry paste, pad Thai sauce, salad dressings, hot sauce and more. Home cooks should check out the pre-prepped meals—complete with Moon’s proprietary recipes—to complete at home. A wide variety of Thai cooking staples and tools will also be available.
