The festival will feature 70 local vendors dishing out good eats and good vibes.

Manayunk's StrEAT Food Festival takes over Main Street on April 15. Photos by JPG Photography.

Come to Manayunk hungry on April 15 when 70 local vendors will line Main Street, for the annual StrEAT Food Festival. This foodie event begins at 11 a.m. and goes until 5 p.m., rain or shine, and also features live music on three different stages.

Expect to nosh on food from 50 of Philly’s best food trucks with specialties from tacos to dumplings to meatballs to cannolis. Gourmet food vendors will also showcase their cuisine, including sweet and savory barbecue, Polish goodies, kettle corn and pound cakes. And restaurants from Manayunk (such as La Roca, Bourbon Blue and Craft Manayunk), will be open for sit-downs.

Sandwich from the Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival.

Keep an eye out for vendors that create dishes with the festival’s featured spring ingredient, strawberries, who will be entered in a content for best berry dish, which three local foodies will be judging.

The festival is the kick off to Manayunk Restaurant Week, which will commence the following day and continue through April 27. Participating restaurants will offer three-course meals to debut their spring menus for $15, $25 or $35.

Main St., Manayunk, (215) 482-9565.
