Heirloom Tomato Festival at Terrain

Enjoy a bloody Mary bar, a farmers’ marketplace, a veggie-stamping workshop, and much more.

We’re in the heat of tomato season these days, with the local growing crop better than it’s been in years. Terrain in Glen Mills will be taking advantage of nature’s bounty on Saturday, August 23, at its annual Heirloom Tomato Festival.

Celebrate one of summer’s juiciest crops at a party in the garden, with festivities planned for the afternoon and evening. Dip your way through the Terrain staff’s offerings in the salsa competition, shop a market of local vendors and Design by Terrain’s custom plantings, get gardening advice and nibble on savory snacks. Summertime crafts and face painting for the littlest tomato-lovers in the family will also part of the day. Activities planned include:

Just can’t get enough tomato goodness? Stay for awhile and enjoy cocktails & dinner at the cafe starting at 6 p.m., featuring special guests Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell of the Beekman Boys. The evening kicks off with a cocktail hour, followed by Terrain chef Jared Frazer’s four-course tasting menu featuring heirloom tomatoes, items from the Beekman 1802 farm and wine pairings from Paradocx Vineyard. Reservations for the dinner, which is $90 per person plus $23.40 tax and gratuity, are required. See the full menu here.
