3 New Media Restaurants

A culturally diverse array of restaurants will be calling Media home.

With several new restaurants calling Media home, it’s unquestionable that the town is experiencing a culinary boom. Brick & Brew and Tagine recently opened to rave reviews, and now several more eateries are coming online. From Mexican to Asian to Brazilian, Media’s restaurant scene is on point and culturally diverse.

Owner and chef Thebora Parsons, a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, shares the authentic tastes of her childhood at this BYOB in the former DiFabio’s Catering spot. The focus of the menu is on high-quality meats, fish, rice, beans, fresh vegetables and fruit. Brazuca also has an extensive catering menu.

Tom’s Dim Sum

Tom’s Dim Sum, with one popular location in Philadelphia, is bringing an authentic Shanghai restaurant experience to State Street. The menu features traditional dim sum, including soup dumplings, shumai, steamed buns, spring rolls and scallion pancakes, as well as cool appetizers such as seaweed salad, smoked fish and five-spice beef. Traditional entrees like Shanghai spare ribs, braised chopped pork ball, spicy crispy shrimp and more are also on the menu.

Hildago’s   

Hidalgo’s Mexican Restaurant, formerly a popular cantina-style eatery in Clifton Heights, is just about to open its doors in the former Planet Hoagie. Think authentic flautas, enchiladas, chiles rellenos, green chicken mole, tortilla soup, ceviche and homemade chips, salsas and more.
