Often called the Mushroom Capital of the World, Kennett Square annually brings its favorite fungi into the spotlight. This year, the The 31st Annual Mushroom Festival returns for another year of celebration. Food, art, music and contests will enliven this year’s festival, as in years past.

The festival kicks off on Sept. 9, at 6 p.m. with a Community Parade starting at the corner of State and Willow streets. Dancing in the streets follows the parade, accompanied by party band Good Foot. Enjoy midway fun with rides, carnival foods and games at The Old Fashioned Carnival from 6–10:30 p.m. The carnival also runs on Saturday from 6–10:30 p.m. and Sunday from 1–6 p.m.
