Don your best whites, break out the picnic basket, grab a bottle of rosé and join Brandywine in White at a secret location to a party for a cause. This year’s pop-up dinner will be held al fresco on Aug. 26, from 5:30-10 p.m, rain or shine.
Proceeds will go toward saving Crebilly Farm, a picturesque piece of open space that is being threatened by a new development. Conservation of this land will not only protect significant green space, but it will also preserve local history, as this land played an integral role in the Battle of Brandywine.
This year’s dinner will feature a silent auction with various farm-to-table dinners at Chester County historic properties and unique art pieces up for grabs. As the sun goes down, diners can, for a small donation, light a floating candle in memory of a loved one or release a Chinese lantern carrying dreams and aspirations into the night sky.
Attendees are encouraged to come in groups, so invite your friends and family and prepare food and beverages to share. Chairs and tables draped in white linen will be provided. Don’t forget a vase of flowers for that final touch.
Tickets start at $30 and can be purchased online.
