Tickets to Pints in the Square are on Sale

The 5k and craft brewfest takes place Sept. 9.

Runners and beer lovers alike won’t want to miss Pints in the Square Craft Brew Fest. Now in its second year, the event will be held at Ellis Preserve in Newtown Square on Sept. 9. The day kicks off with a 5k, which is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Those less inclined to run can skip the 5k and cheer on participants at the finish line before enjoying a beer.

Over 60 beers from 30 different local breweries, a variety of food vendors and live music will await racers and ticket holders at the craft brew festival, from 12-4 p.m. Ticket holders will receive a tasting glass and unlimited beer tastings from participating breweries, which include Crowded Castle, Locust Lane, Dogfish Head and La Cabra. Food vendors include Fellini Cafe, Luigi & Giovanni, Hog Face and Nutrition 365, among others. Anyone attending the Brew Fest must be 21 or over and will need a ticket to enter.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Newtown Square Fire Company. After last year’s big turnout, which resulted in a $25,000 donation, organizers and nonprofit Newtown Square Neighbors are hoping that area residents and neighbors will come back for more and bring their friends.

Our Best of the Main Line Elimination Ballot is open through February 22!
