9 Must-Attend Foodie Festivals this September

Mark your calendars for these Main Line area culinary events.

Kennett Mushroom Festival
Sept. 7-9, Kennett Square

The mushroom capital of the world celebrate its 33rd fungi festival, benefitting local non-profits. The festival includes a community parade, carnival rides, live music, family-friendly games, educational exhibits and a slew of some of the best food vendors (many with mushroom-themed dishes) around.

Caln Community Day
Sept. 8, Thorndale

Now in its 12th year, this festival includes food vendors, live bands, a beer garden by The Craft House, a golf ball drop, mini golf and an escape room. The festival will take place from 3-8:30 p.m. and entry is free.

Fall Super Sunday
Sept. 9, Media

The borough of Media shines with this event featuring over 150 vendors offering bargains on antiques, appliances, books and other collectibles and handmade crafts. Local restaurants will also be offering specials all day. Rain date is Sept. 16.

Malvern Oktoberfest
Sept. 9, Malvern

Get in the spirit of Oktoberfest a little early with this highly anticipated outdoor event in the quaint borough of Malvern. The festival features live music, engaging activities for all ages, quality artists and crafters, delicious food and a festive beer garden.

Chester County Library Food Truck Festival
Sept. 14, Exton

Celebrating its 3rd year and hosted by the Chester County Library, you’ll want to indulge in the tastes of more than 24 food trucks while enjoying live music and family-friendly fun to benefit the library.

Chester County Restaurant Festival
Sept. 16, West Chester

One of the largest in the area, the 39th annual festival touts six live bands, scrumptious dishes from over 60 restaurants and caterers in the area, plus a communal beer and wine garden. Rain date is Sept. 23.

Wine, Beer and Food Festival
Sept. 22, Limerick

This ticketed event is complete with complimentary samples from wineries and breweries from across the state. Nationally-recognized food trucks offer delicious cuisine and local bands keep the music going all day long. Proceeds benefit local nonprofits.

Manayunk Harvest Fest
Sept. 29, Manayunk

Bring blankets and chairs to this all-day family-friendly event that promises live music, seasonal activities, a farmers market and a diverse array of food vendors and trucks to get your fall off to a great start.

Downingtown Fall Fest
Sept. 30, Downingtown

Sponsored by the local chamber in partnership with Victory Brewing Company, indulge in a diverse selection of food from tents and trucks which include Amani’sKatja’s Empanadas and Southbound BBQ. Victory’s enclosed beer garden will also be providing pours.
