The 2 New Brews at Victory Brewing Co.
Plus a sneak peak at its collaboration, set to debut at the Brewer's Plate Festival.
Victory Brewing Company’s got a lot on tap these days, with the recent release of two new brews and an upcoming appearance at the annual Brewer’s Plate with a new collaboration.
Fans of dark beer will want to get their hands on Deep Cocoa, a limited release that hit shelves earlier this month. Bold and intense, the 8.5 percent ABV chocolate porter brewed with Tettnang hops and cocoa nibs boasts a deceptively light body; hints of dark fruits; a caramelly, roasted malt essence; and deep, dark chocolate overtones. Get this one on draft and in 750 ml bottles.
Also just released: the brewery’s Moving Parts 03, the newest beer in its Moving Parts: The Ever-Evolving IPA Series. Available nationally, the brew is the third in Victory’s “exciting, challenging and artistic journey to take fans from simple to complex and back again using water, yeast, whole flower hops and grain as their media of choice.” For 03, Belgian yeast (as opposed to 02’s English) has yielded a tart, fruity spin on a spicy, citrus-forward IPA. Look for the flavorful brew at craft beer bars, bottle shops, beer distributors and grocery stores throughout Victory’s 35-state distribution footprint.
Victory will also be heading to The Brewer’s Plate with a new beer crafted in collaboration with Michigan’s Brewery Vivant, the first LEED certified brewery in the U.S. Attendees at the event, a fundraiser to benefit nonprofit organization Fair Food, will have the exclusive opportunity to sample Bon Vivant, a saison-style ale with a medium-to-light body and intriguing light spice. Victory’s president Bill Covaleski, one of the driving forces behind The Brewer’s Plate, noted, “Each year we recognize the opportunity we have to showcase producers who embrace sustainable practices. Brewery Vivant exemplifies a high-integrity producer of great flavors.” Sunday, March 8, is your only chance to try this brew—in addition to other beers by Brewery Vivant—on the East Coast, so be sure to get your tickets on the event website.
