3 Cooking Classes You Won’t Want to Miss

Looking to switch up your cooking game? At these cooking classes, expert chefs will guide you through the art of making dosa, bread and pizza.
Bring your appetite to the Artisan Exchange in West Chester on Feb. 24. From 3:30-5:30 p.m., attendees of this vegan-friendly class will learn from the masters as Masala Meals. The lesson is complete with learning how to make dosa, a classic South Indian meal and staple dish served at Sunday brunch. You’ll create the simple rice and lentil crepe, along with the black-eyed pea sambar that accompanies it. Enjoy warm beverages, light snacks and other spiced dosa varieties while soaking up the health benefits of Indian spices and Indian plant-based cooking. Attendees can also take their skills home with a sample MasalaMix spice blend and recipe card. Tickets are $30 per person.

If you’ve ever dined at Terrain, then you know all about the decadent, fluffy breads served warm in flower pots. On March 7, from 6-8 p.m., get the inside scoop on the recipe for this quirky trick, as well as other hearty, homemade breads. Garden Cafe chef Ryan Bloome will share his favorite recipes, and you’ll take home a recipe card and bread pot. Don’t forget to bring a bottle of your favorite wine to enjoy with light refreshments. Tickets are $65 per person.

Taste the Rainbow Pizza-Making Class
Next month, Davio’s Galleria Bakery + Cafe is cooking up the perfect class for parents and their children. The bakery’s chefs will lead this hands-on meal, which is part of Davio’s “Kids in the Kitchen” series, on March 18, from 12-2 p.m. Choose from a selection of seasonal veggies to create that eye-catching rainbow pizza that your kids will not only want to make, but eat. This event is $35 per child (plus tax and gratuity) and adult admission is free.
