Winter Drink: Georges’ Hot Mulled Apple Cider

Winter Drink: Georges’ Hot Mulled Apple Cider

When the weather gets cold, it’s all about drinks that warm you from the inside out—and Georges’ in Wayne has created something awfully tempting to do just that. Its hot mulled apple cider is a newcomer to the restaurant's drink menu, and, while apple cider is traditionally considered an autumn drink, the spicy combination of cider, cinnamon and apple brandy (or spiced rum) has all the right ingredients to help us embrace the season.

Cozy up with a glass in front of the fire in Georges’ bar area, or make one in the comfort of your own kitchen (recipe below). Either way, you’ll be glad you did.

Hot Mulled Apple Cider
• 1 ½ ounces apple brandy or spiced rum
• 5 ounces hot apple cider
• Cinnamon stick

Directions: In a favorite mug, heatproof glass or Irish coffee mug, top the brandy or spiced rum with the hot apple cider. Top off with whipped cream and a cinnamon stick.
