Stella Blu Closes in Conshohocken

After 16 years, the restaurant has shut its doors, but plans to reopen as a virtual restaurant.

Following 16 years of serving an extensive menu of fine Italian cuisine, West Conshohocken staple Stella Blu has shut its doors. Originally, the restaurant was scheduled to host its farewell dinner on Jan. 27, but that close date came sooner than anticipated due to a pipe that burst in the wall between the dining room and kitchen.

Despite the sad news, Stella Blu plans to resurface as a virtual restaurant in the coming months. Conshy Girls owners Kim Strengari, Marianne Gere and Michael Golden recognize the “comfort and feeling of home” that Stella Blu customers enjoyed, so they intend to bring your favorite dishes right to your doorstep. They will also pay homage to some of Stella Blu’s signature dishes when they appear as specials at sister restaurant, Gypsy Saloon
