Garces Trading Company's Hand-Bottled Fizzy Cocktails

PLUS: Make your own homemade carbonated drinks with Ayala’s Herbal Water.

A crisp, cold cocktail has a way of taking the edge off on warm summer nights, and Garces Trading Company is taking it one step further by offering three types of hand-bottled carbonated cocktails to diners.

Created by the restaurant’s beverage manager, Brandon Thomas, the carbonated cocktails will change seasonally, the ingredients and combinations reflecting what’s in season at the moment. For now, choices are: the Americano, Campari and sweet vermouth with orange oil and orange peel; the Avenue 1111, Tanqueray with house-made lime cordial, ginger beer and mint leaves; and the Pepino Fresco, Cuervo Gold and St. Germain elderflower liqueur with celery, cucumber and lemon juices.

Each cocktail is $12 and is opened, poured and garnished to order. If you’re looking to make a fizzy cocktail at home, Ayala’s sparkling herbal water (available at Whole Foods) makes a perfect base for a refreshing drink. Try the Gin and Ginger, five ounces of Ayala’s sparkling ginger-lemon peel water and two ounces of gin served over ice, or a white wine spritzer that combines three ounces of white wine and one ounce sparkling lemongrass-mint vanilla water.  Delish!
