Sporting pink is the theme of C’est Lavi en Rose at this inaugural event at Ardmore’s Lavi Cafe. On Aug. 4 from 6-9 p.m., the BYOB will offer a chef’s choice three-course tasting menu. Guests should dress stylishly in shades of pink and will tote along their own tables, chairs or blankets to this ticketed event, which includes live entertainment.
“We are taking some of the old potluck traditions and putting a classy twist on them,” says owner Khadijah Bush. Tickets are $40 per person and proceeds benefit local charities.
1531 W. Wynnewood Road, Ardmore.

The 8th annual Dîner en Blanc will be held on Aug. 22. Organizers expect over 6,000 guests donning white apparel and toting chairs, tables, food and beverages across streets and sidewalks to attend this year’s soirée. As usual, the dinner will take place at a top-secret location announced shortly before the event begins.
In previous years, the Navy Yard, the front of Philadelphia Art Museum, Logan Circle and City Hall have played host. Raffles and auctions for the event benefit Broad Street Ministry.
The bucolic Brandywine Valley countryside will once again be the backdrop for this 7th annual suburban celebration, which will take place Aug. 24 from 5:30-10 p.m. Guests clad in white get to set up glam-themed tablescapes (chairs, tables and linens are provided), while toting dinnerware, flowers, food and beverages in baskets, hampers and coolers to a top-secret location that will be announced to ticket holders 48 hours before the event.
The event includes music by DJ Clarke Cummins and proceeds benefit Neighbors for Crebilly, LLC.

This ticketed “night in white” event will take place on Aug. 24 from 7-11 p.m. at a surprise West Chester area venue. Guests dressed in white bring their own food and cocktails to the rain or shine soirée (tables are provided). Don’t feel like cooking? Pre-ordered dinner boxes are available from Arianna’s Gourmet Cafe & Catering.
The event, which benefits Westside Community Center, A Haven and Chester County Family Academy, includes live music and dancing under the stars. Previous sites have been the Chester County Food Bank and the American Helicopter Museum.
