Clark Gilbert Throws Gemelli on Main a Birthday Party

Celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Manayunk Italian restaurant, Gilbert gives diners something to cheer about.

One year ago, Clark Gilbert opened the doors to Gemelli on Main, the seasonal, modern Italian eatery that relocated from Narberth to Main Street in Manayunk. Just in time to celebrate Gilbert’s one year anniversary, he’s introduced some changes to his seasonal bar and restaurant, all of which we think you’ll like.

First, the second floor bar has been transported to the first floor, which is a great way to be right in the mix of Main Street’s vibrant restaurant and nightlife scene while enjoying a seasonal cocktail, beer or glass of wine from the stellar wine list.

As far as the menu goes, prices have been scaled way back, and nothing on the dinner menu is more than $16. The food is still every bit as fantastic as it has been since opening day, and diners can still expect a menu that’s exciting and beautifully prepared and executed. As an alternative to the regular menu, diners can choose a very reasonable $20 prix fixe option that includes a salad (Caesar or arugula), a dish of pasta (ravioli, linguini and clams or orecchiette with sausage, to name a few) and a glass of wine.
