Though not technically on the Main Line, Lansdowne is only a short 20-30 minute drive from most Main Line spots. It doesn’t look like much driving through, but Lansdowne Avenue is a hub of great restaurants and cafés and a terrific Saturday farmers’ market.
Have you ever dined at Sycamore? The BYO has been open for a few years now, and has received rave reviews since as one of the area’s best restaurants. And now, Sycamore’s new sister restaurant is open. NoBL (North of Baltimore Avenue) is a Mediterranean restaurant focusing on traditional (and not-so-traditional) Mediterranean flavors reimagined in seasonal and exciting new ways. If it’s anything we’ve seen come out of the kitchens of Sycamore, diners are in for a huge treat.
Not much farther down the street sits Argana Moroccan Cuisine, an authentic Moroccan restaurant with entrées not exceeding $12.95.
Consider swinging by the farmers’ market every Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Lansdowne Avenue parking lot. A stellar list of participating vendors include Green Aisle Grocery, MyHouse Cookies (a 2011 Best Of winner) and Golden Valley Coffee Roasters, to name only a few.
