Wawa Welcome America! Festival Promises Fireworks and Food For All

Michael Branscom for ESM Productions

Sticking around for the Fourth of July? There will be plenty to do, including heading into Philly for the Wawa Welcome America! Festival, 10 full days of concerts, movies, activities, fireworks and much more.

If you’re interested in the culinary portion of the festival, Friday, June 29 through Sunday, July 1 marks Taste of Philadelphia, a weekend-long food event at Penn’s Landing. The event welcomes restaurants and food trucks from the area and guests are welcome to stroll and taste small plates from each of the participating vendors. This year, restaurants like Darling’s Diner, Gigi Restaurant and Lounge and Marabella Meatball Company will be on hand, as well as plenty of food trucks, such as Sweet Box, Lil Dan’s Food Truck and Vernalicious Lunch Truck. There will also be live music each day of the festival and fireworks each night. Admission to the festival is free but guests are expected to pay a few dollars for small-plate tasting.
