Where to Go for Valentine’s Day on the Main Line, Part Two

Last week, I gave a quick rundown of restaurants offering special dining deals for Valentine’s Day. This week, I have a few more options to add to the list, both on the Main Line and in Philadelphia.


The Water Works Restaurant and Lounge has seen its fair share of proposals through the years, and it’s easy to see why. The lovely view of illuminated Boathouse Row is a special backdrop for a romantic dinner. On Feb. 11, 12 and 14, this landmark is offering a Valentine’s Cupid Menu, featuring a $75 five-course meal and an optional $25 wine pairing. Visit thewaterworksrestaurant.com.

For something different and completely indulgent, stay put and have dinner (plus a server) come to you. Brûlée Catering by Jean-Marie Lacroix will arrange your romantic feast, complete with a full, ready-to-serve meal. Visit brulee-catering.com.

Make a night of it at Center City’s Hotel Palomar with the “Getting Serious” package. Available thru February, the $220 bargain includes a complimentary room upgrade, a full breakfast for two at the hotel’s Square 1682, a bottle of champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a 2 p.m. checkout. At Seasons 52 in King of Prussia, a chocolate-raspberry valentine dessert (pictured) is being offered for the holiday. It's a combination of chocolate cake, chocolate syrup, raspberry puree and raspberry mousse. And for all who are sticking to their New Year’s resolutions, remember that nothing at Seasons 52 is more than 475 calories. So you can indulge without the guilt. Visit seasons52.com.

Stop by Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar on Feb. 12-14 for a special Valentine’s menu. Each couple will receive a $25 dining card for a future rendezvous at the restaurant. Visit flemingssteakhouse.com.
