Get ready to get your fill of cheesy goodness at the annual Chester County Mac and Cheese Cook-Off. The event takes place on Sunday, June 5, from 12–4 p.m. at Downingtown’s Kerr Park.

Local restaurants, businesses and neighborhood cooks will be competing against each other for the title of “Best Mac-n-Cheese in Chester County,” judged by attendees. Sounds like a pretty good excuse to tuck into some delicious dishes. Each attendee will be provided with three tokens to vote for his or her favorite dishes. The community will vote for People’s Choice and Kids’ Choice winners, and a panel of judges will also weigh in on each dish.

The yearly event, coordinated by the Rotary Club of Thorndale-Downingtown, raises funds for local and global charities. This year, the proceeds will be donated to the Brandywine Conservancy. Additionally, there will be a raffle at the event, with proceeds going to Chester County Futures.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids (ages 6–12) and are available online. There will also be a pay-as-you-go Victory Brewing Company beer garden.
