Linvilla’s Strawberry Festival Returns

The annual events kicks off on June 3.

Join Linvilla Orchards on Saturday, June 3, for the annual Strawberry Festival to kick off Linvilla’s pick-your-own season. During this fun-filled day the fields will be open to pick your own fresh strawberries. Strawberry picking is scheduled from 8 a.m.–7 p.m., with entertainment from 11 a.m.–4 p.m.

The event also features games, contests, hayrides, costumed characters and a performance by Makin’ Music. Plus, the Delaware Valley’s largest Strawberry Shortcake will be unveiled.

While the kids are enjoying the festivities, join Jammin’ with Judi to learn how to keep berries preserved.

Strawberry Festival Attractions

The Barnyard: Visit barnyard friends including white-tailed deer, calves, goats, horses,

emus, chickens, geese, pheasants, quail, doves, ducks, peacocks and guineas from 9 a.m.– 7 p.m.

Linvilla Grill and Farm Market: Linvilla Grill will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, fries and more every weekend from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Before leaving, don’t forget to check out the Farm Market, which carries fresh produce, baked goods and gourmet specialties throughout the year. All of the produce is homegrown and locally sourced. Hours of operation are 9 a.m.–7 p.m.

Train Rides: Perfect for kids and train enthusiasts of all ages, the Playland Express is an Allan Hershall 1865 Locomotive built in 1959 that travels around a one-acre track near the Playland Playground. The train is scheduled to operate when the weather is nice on weekends and festival days.

Fishing at Orchard Lake: Enjoy catching trout, hybrid striped bass, crappies, bluegill and catfish in Orchard Lake. Fishing rods and bait are available, and no fishing license is required. Everyone is welcome, from first-timers to experts. Hours of operation are 8 a.m.–7 p.m.

The Bakery: Linvilla’s bakery is open year-round and presents freshly baked pies, breads, desserts and seasonal specialties. Hours of operation are 8 a.m.–7 p.m.

The Garden Center: The garden center features a colorful array of plants

including annuals, perennials, fruit trees, shrubs and evergreens. Find an impressive collection of home and seasonal décor, toys, gifts and many functional garden accessories, too. Hours of operation are 8 a.m.–7 p.m.
