West Chester to Welcome Two New Cookie Shops

Baked Cookies & Dough and Insomnia Cookies are both opening soon.

Baked Cookies & Dough

Eating raw cookie dough is always tempting, but, unfortunately, not recommended. Luckily for kids and kids-at-heart everywhere, there is a new trend spreading throughout the country—shops that serve safe-to-eat scoops of cookie dough, like DÅŒ in New York City.

West Chester is getting in on the raw cookie dough trend and will welcome Baked Cookies & Dough to 34 S. High Street soon. It will serve warm cookies and edible dough with toppings, but the best news is that the shop will offer deliveries and plans to serve the late night crew.

Insomnia Cookies

The late night cookie game will be strong in West Chester with the arrival of Insomnia Cookies. Founded in 2003 by Seth Berkowitz in his dorm room at University of Pennsylvania, Insomnia now has almost 100 locations.

The menu includes warm cookies like chocolate chunk, sugar, snickerdoodle, peanut butter chip and double chocolate mint plus brownies, cookie cakes, ice cream and even milk. Many stores have walk-up windows and delivery until 3 a.m.—perfect for those late night study sessions.
