Win and Sutida Somboonsong’s Villanova restaurant, Mixx, has undergone a makeover, and the power couple is eager to show off its new concept, new chef and new menu. On Oct. 26, join them at the New Mixx Launch Party, featuring complimentary hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer and cocktails.
What changes can you expect? For one, a new chef has been named. At just 29 years old, Aniwat “Chay” Vadhanachai is executing a menu that focuses on smaller plates of global fare, so guests can taste various international cuisines. Chef Chay, who’s cooked at Win Signature Restaurants for six years now, will create dishes like grilled scallops with corn salsa and tortilla chips, Thai Massaman curry, and Chinese crab drunken noodles. Also look for a sushi and raw bar. 6-8 p.m. RSVP to mixx.rsvp@gmail.com or on Facebook.
