Ultimate Pumpkin Beer Tasting Hits Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant on Oct. 26

Lucky for pumpkin beer lovers, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant is packing their taps with over a dozen gourd-centric beers—and, you’re invited!

Gourd geeks, get together! West Chester’s Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant will host the ultimate pumpkin beer tasting on Saturday, Oct. 26, from noon until the beer runs bone dry. Not only will Iron Hill overhaul their tap list with seven pumpkin-infused beers from their various locations (Ichabod Imperial Belgian Pumpkin Ale and Bruce Camp-Ale included), but they are also inviting fellow pumpkin beer breweries to guest star with five signature releases. Expect to catch imbibable appearances by Southern Tier, Elysian, Stewart’s, Dogfish Head and Brooklyn flooding the taps this weekend.

In addition to a pumpkin-heavy brew lineup, the annual event will also feature a gourd-centric food menu. Invention options will range from ginger-spiced butternut squash soup with curried crème fraiche and roasted squash pizza with red onion marmalade and crispy smoked bacon, to duck confit with pumpkin latkes and braised short ribs with caramelized squash.

A special pumpkin firkin will be tapped at 3 p.m. King of the Hill rewards program members will be able to taste-test West Chester Iron Hill’s limited Pumpkin Weisse, an unfiltered wheat beer with yeast-driven flavors of banana and clove, and accented by pumpkin pie spices.

Be sure to save the date for Phoenixville’s Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant’s upcoming seasonal event too, the Zombie Hopocalypse, which unfolds Saturday, Nov. 2, at noon. Eight hoppy releases are slated to hit the taps, including the notable Hopocalypse, and attendees are encouraged to arrive in their zombie best.
