If you love all things fall and are looking to get a pumpkin spice fix, then the Phoenixville Pumpkinfest is calling your name. This family-friendly event takes place in the heart of Phoenixville on Oct. 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For the first time, this year’s Pumpkinfest will include a Pumpkin Crawl where Phoenixville businesses show off their pumpkin goodies and deals. Visit and get your card punched at a minimum of three stops for the chance to win gift cards and a pumpkin basket. Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant will be pouring its thirst-quenching pumpkin ale, Steel City Coffeehouse will offer its scrumptious pumpkin cheesecake ice cream, Artisans Gallery & Café will serve up pumpkin muffins and Bridge Street Chocolates will invite you to indulge in its gourmet pumpkin spice marshmallows.
A must-see is the Pumpkin Derby, which features pumpkin racers competing for the coveted Pumpkin Derby Championship Trophy, plus prizes like an iPad Mini 4, Air Wars Battle Drone Set and a Razor A2 Kick Scooter. The races start at 12:30 p.m.
While there, be sure to visit the carnival, which boasts fun activities for all ages, plus games and music. Try your hand at the cornhole tournament, get your fill of pumpkin pie at the pie-eating contest and show off your artistic skills at the classic painted pumpkin competition.
Registration is required for the Pumpkin Derby and the painted pumpkin competition.
