6 New Eateries Come to the Main Line Area this Fall

From a new BYOB to a juice bar to a café, the local dining surge continues.

Clean Juice

Expect only 100 percent certified organic when this smoothie and juice bar franchise opens in Collegeville soon. Açai bowls, cold-pressed juice bottles and shots, plus made-to-order smoothies for adults and kids make this the perfect way to get the day started.

121 Market St., Suite 6A, Collegeville.

Lavi BYOB

Owner Khadijah Bush and executive chef Aziza Young bring farm-to-table to the former Chris’ Sandwich Shop location. The menu riffs on American classics with a modern spin. Expect starters like endive and crab salad, fried brie, and zucchini spirals. Also indulge in crispy fried chicken with creamy mac and cheese, sautéed kale and apple slaw. The clean and airy spot hosts brunch on weekends and will debut chef tastings on Tuesdays, starting mid-November.

1531 W. Wynnewood Road, Ardmore.

Oakmont Roots Cafe

This friendly neighborhood coffee shop offers rich La Colombe coffee, plus French-baked pastries from Au Fournil in Narberth. Owner Marc Singer believes in the “buy fresh, buy local” mantra and is an advocate of dishing up good comfort food like avocado toast, banh mi hoagies, rolled ice cream and waffles. Vegan options are also available.

Parlour

It’s never too cold for ice cream. This new spot opened in September and offers 24 rotating flavors from Royersford ice cream maker, Nelsons, including seasonal favorites like pumpkin, peppermint stick and eggnog. Not in the mood for a cone? Try shakes, floats or sundaes, as well.

18 W. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore.

Keep a lookout for a fresh redo of both the interior and exterior of this renamed eatery, formerly Mrs. Mike’s. New owners James and Charlotte Gibbons are planning on opening in November and will be serving breakfast, lunch, plus a host of baked goods from their on-site seasonal bakery.

653 Downingtown Pike, West Chester.

Pizza Cruiser Food Truck

This new portable artisanal pizzeria dishes up hot wood-fired signature pies at food festivals, thanks to an oven built right into the side of the truck. We recommend the melt-in-your-mouth “24-hour short rib,” “local yokel farmers veggie” or the “macho peppy” loaded with pepperoni, sweet fennel sausage, monterey jack cheese and poblano aioli, topped with sliced scallion. On-site catering is available for events, birthdays and office parties, too.

109 W. State St., Media.
