What will you watch on television Sept. 13? Maybe the series premiere of a cooking show starring local food personality Hope Cohen? Fast, Fresh and Simple with Hope Cohen airs on the Comcast Network at 5:30 p.m.—just in time to get inspired for dinner!
The premise of the show is “fast, fresh and simple recipes to prepare during your busy week that look and taste delicious enough for entertaining on the weekends.” Cohen’s concept is entirely her own, and all of the recipes come directly from her soon-to-be-published cookbook of the same name. Expect inspired preparations of healthy, seasonal dishes from various cuisines that don’t take a culinary degree to replicate. Think: Moroccan chicken; ricotta crostini with thyme, garlic and honey; and minted pea soup with yogurt.
And Cohen is no stranger to the camera—you may remember her as the host of The Chef’s Kitchen (formerly The Fretz Kitchen). I’m excited to see what’s to come now that this Bryn Mawr gal has branched out on her own, and I’m sure the show (and her cookbook) will be a big hit!
