10th Annual Mission Possible Fundraising Event

The Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center, a local organization that provides healing and justice for victims of child abuse, hosts its 10th annual Mission Possible gala at the Please Touch Museum.

Philadelphia Antiques and Art Show

Treasures from more than 60 dealers will be featured at the 56th annual Philadelphia Antiques and Art Show this weekend. Held at the Navy Yard, the show benefits the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Penn Medicine.

Philadelphia Science Festival
April 20-28, Philadelphia

Organized by the Franklin Institute, this nine-day celebration of all things science features more than 80 events around the city. Highlights include a free festival on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, beer brunch at Yards Brewing Company and stargazing parties.

Baldwin School Maker Faire
April 21, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Bryn Mawr

The Baldwin School and the Agnes Irwin School have teamed up to present this free and open-to-the-public celebration of invention, creativity and resourcefulness. Featuring artwork, gardening and engineering projects completed by students, the marker faire also includes food trucks, hands-on activities and demonstrations.

25th Annual Brandywine River Cleanup
April 21, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Chadds Ford

Join the Young Friends of the Brandywine at the 25th annual Brandywine River Cleanup as they remove trash from the banks of the river. Lunch will be provided.

MAIDO! Japanese Spring Festival
April 21, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Ardmore

Ardmore’s MAIDO! welcomes spring this weekend with its free festival, complete with samples of traditional Japanese cuisine and drinks.

NarbEarth Day

At the 28th annual NarbEarth Day, community members can participate in eco-friendly activities and crafts, feast on locally-sourced organic food and beverages, shop for produce, swap gently used household items and connect with environmentally-minded organizations.

Record Store Day Party

Presented by WMMR and Ardmore Music Hall, this free celebration includes a live performance from Philadelphia-based band, Hambone Relay, and a ticket giveaway to Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats’ upcoming show.
