Flyers Wives Fight for Lives Carnival

Hockey fans had the opportunity to rub elbows with their favorite Flyers and Phantoms players Feb. 22 at the 32nd annual Flyers Wives Fight for Lives Carnival. The Wachovia Center was transformed into an interactive funhouse, where guests competed with the pros in Wii’s Boxing, Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and lined up for photos with the Stanley Cup. Flyers players took the hot seat in the dunk tank, while Hall of Fame goalie Bernie Parent fielded shots on goal from stick-wielding fans. Since its inception, the carnival has raised more than $21 million for area charities.
