Notable Chestnut Hill chef Al Paris has teamed up with Benjamin and Robert Bynum for his second Germantown Avenue venture: the ’30s-style, bi-level Paris Bistro. The opening is slated for this spring in the Chestnut Hill Hotel spot that once hosted the Melting Pot.

Crowned King

Tashan executive chef Sylva Senat recently tucked a new accolade under his culinary belt. He was just named “America’s #1 Asian Chef” in the annual Supreme Asian Chef Culinary Battles hosted in Atlantic City.

Fresh Approach

The former home of Maia and Mixx welcome a new tenant this spring in the form of Avenue Kitchen. The refreshing, uncomplicated restaurant-and-bar concept comes to Villanova courtesy of health-conscious local food advocate Dana Smith Farrell, also a partner in Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar.

Burger Mania

Danny Meyer is gearing for the launch of a new Shake Shack in King of Prussia this fall. It will be the third of his upscale fast-food joints to invade the Philadelphia area in just a year’s time.
