» Books on her night stand: The Gift of a Memory: A Keepsake to Commemorate the Loss of a Loved One by Marianne Richmond, given to me when my dad passed away. The Little Engine That Could by Watty Piper; it promotes a positive attitude.

» iPod artist on repeat: Dan Fogelberg is a favorite of mine. Also, anything ’70s or ’80s, because it reminds me of high school and college.

» Restaurant of the hour: Flanigan’s Boathouse in Malvern—my absolute favorite place. It’s where I celebrated my 50th birthday.

» Personal heroes: My dad. I’m Daddy’s little girl. He’s my biggest hero. A lot of my other heroes are people who do the right thing.

» One thing she knows for sure: It’s not about me; it’s about people. We remember—more than anything else—the people we spend time with.

» Very own vici: The [Assistant Principal of the Year] award is a confirmation of what a fit the school is for me. The faculty and students have embraced me.

» Zen destination: Being with the ones I love. It doesn’t matter where I am—that’s where I want to be.

» If she had an extra hour each day, she would: Sleep until I caught up. Then I’d work and organize.

» Pet peeve: Being misunderstood or misrepresented.

» Life view: chance or fate? Fate. I believe there’s a higher power; things don’t happen by chance. It makes us who we are.

» Most marked characteristic: What you see is what you get—peppered with a decent sense of humor.

» Qualities she admires most in others: Honesty, trust and credibility.
