The Chester County Hospital Polo Cup

The Turks Head branch of the Chester County Hospital’s Women’s Auxiliary hosted its third annual Polo Cup June 14 at the Brandywine Polo Club in Toughkenamon. Afternoon festivities included tailgating, crafts and magic tricks in the kids’ corral, live music, and a “Hats Off to Health” contest. For 59 years, polo has been a Chester County institution on these scenic grounds, and this year’s fast-paced action didn’t disappoint. The event raised $25,000 to benefit the hospital’s capital campaign for the construction of the West Pavilion. The 72-bed expansion project will consolidate the hospital’s cardiovascular services and offer state-of-the-art operating suites.
