Historic Sugartown opens for its 2017 Tour Season Starting May 6th

 

Weekend Guided Tours

May 6th through November 26th

Saturdays, 11AM – 4PM

Sundays, 1PM – 4PM

 

(Malvern, PA) Historic Sugartown’s tour season begins on Saturday, May 6th. Experience 19th-century community life in Chester County with a guided tour of Historic Sugartown’s c. 1880 General Store, School and Agricultural exhibits, and the c. 1805 William Garrett House. Explore the Book Bindery featuring the world-class collection of 19th-century bookbinding tools, and visit the Carriage Museum, which showcases a remarkable collection of early horse-drawn carriages and sleighs from the Chester County Historical Society.

 

Tour Admission: $7 Adults, $5 Children (3 – 17 yrs). Children ages 2 and younger admitted free. Group and school tours are available by advance registration by contacting 610-640-2667 or visiting HistoricSugartown.org.

 

Directions: Historic Sugartown’s Visitor Parking is located at 273 Boot Road, Malvern, PA.

 

Historic Sugartown, Inc. inspires the community to engage with the past through authentic 19th-century experiences, participate in the village’s present life and protect it for the future. Historic Sugartown stewards 9.2 acres of land and nine historic structures, including 4.2 acres of open space under conservation easement with Willistown Conservation Trust. Historic Sugartown’s Carriage Museum interprets Chester County’s rich transportation heritage through a rare collection of historic carriages and sleighs in partnership with Chester County Historical Society.
