Indigenous Peoples' Weekend

Oct 12, 2019 to Oct 14, 2019
10:00 AM until 05:00 PM

This event occurs daily, every 1 day(s).

Join us for a weekend celebration of indigenous peoples and cultures. On Saturday and Sunday, join us for the newest program in our Meet the Revolution! series, which brings to live diverse Revolutionary stories with costumed living history. Michael Crowe of the Museum of the Cherokee Indian in Cherokee, North Carolina will offer hands-on activities and storytelling while discussing Cherokee and Native American history. Throughout the weekend, Museum Educators will also offer special programs in the core Galleries and Revolution Place, the Museum's discovery center.

Plus, listen as lifelike figures of the Oneida Indian Nation debate whether to support the Revolutionary cause in the Museum’s immersive multimedia gallery. Meet an Educator at a Discovery Cart to learn more about their stories.
