Engaging Classes, Special Celebrations, Fascinating Trips, Offered by Main Line School Night
Main Line School Night is the place to be this spring where you can engage in energetic exercise, go on an outdoor adventure, enjoy creative classes, get useful computer instruction, take a trip, explore innovative international cooking, learn a language, and discuss politics, art and literature. Choose from more than 70 new classes offered April through July.
“Enrolling in a class is a great way to connect with people who share your interests,” says Wendy Greenfield, MLSN’s Executive Director. “Take advantage of an opportunity to meet new friends, or join old ones, for our Summer Solstice Celebration, Tuesday June 20 featuring activities, music and nutritious snacks offered throughout the day and evening at the Creutzburg Center. Or, join us for our Podcast Club on the Porch, Wednesday evenings in June also at the Creutzburg Center, celebrate the 150th Anniversary of iconic architect Frank Lloyd Wright's Birth with us - attend a lecture, take a day trip to New York to view a retrospective exhibit at MOMA and visit the Guggenheim museum, which he designed, or an overnight trip to visit Falling Water this summer.”
Special events and tours near and far also await you in MLSN’s expanded late spring and early summer schedule. Enjoy a “Brewgrass” Jam at the Creutzburg Center where you can sip craft beer while listening to music, discuss science and public policy in a series of three classes taught by distinguished professors and journalists, or view some of the most challenging and/or dangerous movie sequences ever filmed with Yale University’s Senior Film Lecturer, Marc Lapadula. Choose from among several day trips including the Private Karamoor Estate Winery, Brandywine Museum of Art, Culinary Institute of America, the Ladew Topiary Garden in Maryland, the Culinary Institute of America, Brooklyn Museum & Botanic Garden or MoMA & the Guggenheim (Frank Lloyd Wright at 150).
