Museum of the American Revolution History After Hours: A Winter’s Ball

Jan 22, 2019
05:00 PM until 08:00 PM

Can you put your best foot forward? Join the dance masters of "In Good Company" to watch (and try!) 18th-century dances. Will you make a lasting first impression from across the room? Take part in a levee, or social gathering, in Hamilton Was Here to experience visiting First Lady Martha Washington’s home in Philadelphia. What would Eliza Schuyler have worn when she first met Washington’s dashing aide-de-camp, Alexander Hamilton? Learn how to dress for social success from seamstress Samantha McCarty of our Fashioning Eliza: Gown Making in 1777 and 1787 project.

Spread the warmth and donate a coat to benefit the organization, One Warm Coat.

Our History After Hours series features extended evening hours from 5 – 8 p.m., special themed programs, happy hour food and drink specials, and full access to the Museum’s exhibits including timed screenings of Washington's War Tent.
