A team at the University of Pennsylvania is working with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health to host Opioid Awareness and Overdose Reversal Trainings. The opioid epidemic is a major public health crisis, particularly in our city of Philadelphia. These free trainings teach participants how to save lives by administering the opioid overdose antidote, naloxone (also known by the brand name Narcan).
The attached flyer lists the upcoming trainings at the South Philadelphia Library Branch and the Walnut Street West Library Branch. You can find additional information at www.phillynaloxone.org.
