3rd Annual South Wayne PorchFest Caters to Wide Range of Musical Tastes
The streets of South Wayne, PA will once again be “alive with the sound of music” on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the annual South Wayne PorchFest. Now in its third year, South Wayne PorchFest continues to expand its offerings, with more than 60 diverse musical acts performing on porches throughout five residential blocks. Windermere Ave, St. Davids Rd. and Midland Ave. will be closed to motor vehicles, allowing visitors to amble freely from porch to porch. Full details are available at: www.southwayneporchfest.com.
Do you like Rock? Folk? Jazz? Bluegrass? Soul? How about Zydeco, R & B, Classical or Country? You’ll find all of those and much more at the 2019 South Wayne PorchFest. Diverse musical acts will showcase original compositions, as well as spot-on covers. Several bands are regulars of the greater Philadelphia music scene, including Stargazer Lily, which garnered a loyal fan base throughout the mid-Atlantic and Northeast in the early 2000s, and Cookie Rabinowitz, who plays frequent gigs in the area.
This family-friendly event is totally free and open to the general public. Visitors are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets, as well as strollers or wagons for the kids. Come stroll our streets and relax in our yards while listening to a wide range of talented musicians. You’re bound to hear something that catches your ear, your imagination, and probably your heart. We’ll be waiting for you.
