A series of murders in a small Illinois town leads a local police officer to dig deeper, uncovering a sinister scientific experiment at the university. Alternately titled Dead Kids, Strange Behavior is director Michael Laughlin’s homage to the low budget, campy horror movies of the 1950s (think Bela Lugosi as the mad scientist). Ironically, the film is now part of the subgenre of horror thrillers from the 1980s that have inspired the hit show Stranger Things. This screening is part of Lightbox Film Center’s new series, Shimmering Synths: The Film Music of Tangerine Dream. Join us for Lightbox’s Record Fair from 1-7pm prior to this screening!
