Main Line Unitarian Church
816 S. Valley Forge Rd.
Devon, Pa. 19333
RECEPTION & PANEL DISCUSSION
5 p.m. – 8 p.m. discussion at 6:30 p.m.
People from all walks of life are invited to see how Alan Soffer visually portrays his investigation of the life cycle. Most specifically in this exhibition he is focused on how mortality impacts our life. Of course there are different ways of viewing how this affects us if one foresees a rosy afterlife or if one is an existentialist.
Alan has assembled a group of three bright and thoughtful people with their own perspective on mortality. Here is a very brief description of these insightful panelists.
Reverend, Dr Neal Jones is the spiritual leader of the Main Line Unitarian Church and feels deeply that this is a most important topic, though one from which people tend to shy away. What impressed me most about this recovering Baptist is his statement that Unitarians can laugh at themselves. Always essential to bring humor to the most serious of topics.
Dr Grant Grissom brings a degree in mathematics, computer science and a Ph.D in Counseling and Child Development to the table. He serves on the board of the Collegeville Minnesota Institute for Ecumenical and Cultural Research. He lives in Wallingford
Jean Arnold is involved in Christian education and mediation, business consultant for Scott Paper, taught at Cheyney University, Harcum College, Sleighton Farms, and Chester Upland Schools. She is a resident of Chester.
