The American Heart Association’s Power of Laughter event, hosted Saturday, September 23rd, is a health conference and luncheon that shares the benefi­ts of managing overall wellness to impact physical health and well-being.

The Power of Laughter is part of the American Heart Association's Multicultural Initiatives platform to ensure the highest level of health for all people. Power of Laughter will focus on the specific health risks associated with Philadelphia’s Hispanic/Latino and African American communities.

Power of Laughter will honor Patty Jackson, a stroke survivor and thirty-four-year Philadelphia-area radio host, as its Most Powerful Volunteer of 2017. This award recognizes Patty for bringing the American Heart Association’s mission to the masses.

Philadelphia-area physicians and comedians will join forces to empower and educate people to live their healthiest life possible through health screenings, question and answer sessions, and of course, laughter.
