In our inaugural production, The Phoenix Theatre presents William Shakespeare's, The Tempest. Shakespeare's final play begins as Prospero and his daughter Miranda, who have been banished from their home by Prospero's own brother, are marooned on an island filled with magic and mythological creatures. Revenge becomes the theme as Prospero causes his brother and compatriot's ship to be brought to shore by a treacherous storm. Love, wonder, humor, and villainy fill this wild journey through the island culminating in the confrontation of two brothers after many years of separation. You will be astounded by this contemporary re-imagining of one of the key works of William Shakespeare.
