High School student Jerry Mitchell is having “one of those days,” and it only gets worse when he crosses paths with new student Buddy Revell. Buddy challenges Jerry to a fight after school, and Jerry spends the rest of the day desperately trying to avoid the looming confrontation. Each attempt to escape the showdown leads to a more outlandish episode. Phil Joanou’s Three O’Clock High takes the high school bully scenario and ups the ante with spirit guides from beyond the grave, an explosive burglary, and a book report that verges on the pornographic.
