Tradition and Innovation Unite in Digital Original Exhibition at CAC

Curated by Michelle Rothwell and Paul Downie, Digital Original, an invitational exhibition featuring digital art in physical space, opens in the Duke Gallery at Community Arts Center, 414 Plush Mill Road, Wallingford, PA on May 12th and runs through June 8th.  The public is invited to an artist reception which will feature live music performed on digital accordion by Wilmington based experimental musician Paul Woznicki (Woz), wine and light refreshments on May 20th from 2 – 4 p.m. Remarks by curators Downie and Rothwell will begin at 2:45, followed by brief talks by several of the exhibiting artists discussing their processes.  During the reception, an interactive digital tablet provided by exhibiting artist Juan Dimida will be available for attendees to experiment with a glitch app to manipulate photos and patterns. Gallery hours are Mon.-Thurs. 9 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Friday – 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Saturday – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
