United States Coast Guard Band Concert

The United States Coast Guard Band will play a FREE outdoor concert on Sunday, June 10th. It starts at 2 PM! Bring your own chairs and blankets. No RSVP required!

The concert opens with Kevin Puts’ “Millennium Canons” followed by a virtuosic xylophone solo performed by Musician First Class Nathan Lassell of Virginia. Also on the program will be marches by John Philip Sousa and others, Leonard Bernstein’s music from “On the Town,” an energetic sailing song medley, and the passionate “Danzon No. 2” by Arturo Marquez.

The U.S. Coast Guard Band is the premier band representing the U.S. Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security. The 55-member ensemble is based at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn.

The June 10 event is free and open to the public at Freedoms Foundation, 1601 Valley Forge Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
