Wetland Critters: Reptile, Amphibian, and Insect Exploration

Description

Come learn about local amphibians, reptiles, and insects in the beautiful Morris Arboretum wetlands. Students will explore the wetlands, visiting the pond and stream on the lookout for critters who call this area home. Microscopes will be provided for students to borrow to observe specimens up close. Each student will be given identification charts, drawing paper to record their findings, and a collection jar. 

Please have children dress for outdoor hiking on trails and wet areas. Parents can park in the meadow to the left of the entrance kiosk. The instructor will check in students and lead them to the wetlands. 

For students ages 7-12. Students age 6 are welcome to join, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Advanced registration required.
