New and Coming Soon

Folks in the Havertown area are happy to have a new Italian market to call their own. The team behind Pepperoncini restaurants in Conshohocken and Phoenixville has opened Pepperoncini Italian Market & Catering on Eagle Road, offering catering, grocery items, deli fare and homemade specialties like pizza and family-style meals to go.

One of Narberth’s favorite watering holes, The Greeks, has expanded to offer carryout beer. The Greeks Next Door stocks loads of international and domestic varieties—so drink up.

Tim Spinner and Brian Sirhal, the Jose Garces alums behind  popular Mexican eateries La Calaca Feliz and Cantina Feliz are busy preparing Taqueria Feliz in Manayunk for a spring opening.

Something FIshy

John Brandt-Lee of West Chester’s Avalon and Downingtown’s Avalon Pasta Bistro is preparing a traditional Feast of the Seven Fishes Dec. 21-24 at both of his eateries. The five-course prix-fixe meal should be worth spoiling your appetite for Christmas dinner.

Happenings in the Hill

Cafette marks its 20th anniversary by welcoming new chef Bela Durst (Prohibition Taproom, Franklin Foodworks), who brings his celebrated “California cuisine” to the Chestnut Hill landmark.
